Job summary

Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a seasoned Commercial Banking Credit and Risk Analyst to develop borrowing relationships, assess client risk, and manage facilities end-to-end. Qualifications

• At least 6 years of commercial banking credit and risk analysis experience.
• Experience in client relationship management and credit negotiations.
• Ability to coordinate with credit administration and legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and originate new borrowing relationships with in-depth client understanding and negotiation on facility structure, pricing, security, covenants and terms.
• Prepare and present full set of credit applications for approval by the relevant authority.
• Liaise with Group Credit Administration and Group Legal to ensure timely documentation and facility drawdown.
• Follow up on covenants to ensure compliance and closure.
• Ensure timely submission of annual reviews and well-utilized facilities.
• Conduct regular channel checks on client reputation and perform annual reviews for credit opportunities.
• Perform quarterly stress tests on the existing portfolio.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and originate new borrowing relationships which involve in-depth understanding of the clients (Know Your Customer) and negotiation on key issues including but not limited to facility structure, pricing, security arrangement, covenants and terms and conditions.
• Prepare and present full set of credit application for approval by the relevant approving authority.
• Liaise closely with Group Credit Administration (GCA) and Group Legal to ensure timely issuance of Letter of Offer or Letter of Advice, as the case may be, and perfection of relevant security documentation as per approved terms and conditions for swift facility implementation and drawdown.
• Closely follow up on covenants, terms and conditions imposed by approving authority to ensure compliance and closure.
• Ensure timely submission of annual review.
• Ensure facilities are well utilized and account is well conducted.
• Conduct regular channel checks on client’s reputation in the market.
• Conduct regular marketing calls on existing clients for purpose of annual reviews, soliciting for credit and transaction banking opportunities, early risk identification, as the case may be.
• Conduct quarterly stress test of existing portfolio.
