Job summary

AIA Bhd. is seeking an Associate Director, Compliance in Malaysia to lead regulatory and product compliance, reporting, and assurance activities. You will work with cross-functional teams to embed compliance in product design and ensure adherence to local and group policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or law.
• Knowledge of local AML and regulatory requirements.
• 5+ years in compliance, internal control or related financial services experience (insurance ideal).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated.
• Pro-active with initiative and improvement mindset.
• Fluent in English and local language (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent AIA Bhd. in local regulatory matters and initiatives, fulfilling requirements.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate compliance into product design and development.
• Review product materials for regulatory compliance and internal standards.
• Implement compliance policies, risk assessment processes, and related procedures.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of regulatory submissions to authorities.
• Coordinate annual e-learning and code of conduct certifications for all employees.
• Consult Group Compliance to resolve regulatory implementation issues.
• Conduct gap analyses against guidelines from BNM, LIAM, AIA Group and others.
• Update and maintain the local regulatory requirements database.
• Engage with business units to mitigate key compliance risks.
• Strengthen engagement to educate on regulatory developments and ethics.
