Job summary

KPJ Kluang Specialist Hospital invites applications for a Radiographer role within the Diagnostic Imaging Services. You will perform professional imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and comfort while adhering to ALARA and hospital protocols.

The position requires registration with MAHPC, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficiency with PACS/RIS and imaging software; fresh graduates are welcome and will be supported through supervision and training.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiography from a recognised institution.
• Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).
• Fresh graduates with Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging / Radiography from a recognized institution are encouraged to apply; however, candidates with prior experience will be highly preferred.
• Competent in performing general radiography, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound assistance, and interventional imaging procedures (e.g., coronary angiography in Cath Lab).
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, infection prevention and control, and emergency preparedness.
• Ability to participate in audits, and compliance monitoring activities.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, PACS/RIS, and imaging software.
• Caring, ethical, responsible, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performing professional Diagnostic Imaging procedures safely and accurately to support physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensuring patient identification, care, comfort, and safety during all imaging procedures, while minimizing radiation exposure in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Adhering to departmental protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements, including infection prevention and radiation safety standards.
• Reporting equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or incidents promptly to the Head of Diagnostic Imaging Services for corrective action.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to coordinate workflow and maintain efficient, high-quality imaging services.
