Job summary

USAHA DEWI SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from tender to final account. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building, infrastructure, or civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost control, tendering, and procurement.
• Experience with progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with QS software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
• Manage project budgets, cost planning, and cash flow.
• Prepare and evaluate progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Administer construction contracts and provide contractual advice.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs and prepare monthly commercial reports.
• Manage subcontractor payments and contract administration.
• Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and supervise junior Quantity Surveyors where required.
