Job summary

Tropicana Corporation Berhad is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage budgeting, cost control, tendering, and contract administration. You will prepare feasibility studies, analyze design and cost data, and oversee tender processes from shortlisting to awards.

The role requires 6–8 years of relevant building industry experience, preferably with consultants and developers, and strong knowledge of pre/post-contract work and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Possess Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 6 - 8 years' experience of relevant in building industry, preferably with consultant Q.S. and developer firm.
• Good working knowledge of Pre and Post Contract Works, Contractual Issues, Cost Control and Budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist to prepare feasibility study and quarterly budget review.
• Budget & Construction Cost Control: Compile and analyze design and cost data.
• Tender & Award (procurement of work packages): Administer and review tender document preparation, prepare tender document whenever necessary.
• Prepare, administer, review and recommend shortlisting of tenderer.
• Evaluate, review and analyze tender submission and tender report.
• Prepare award memo and Letter of Award.
• Construction Management: Prepare and update Financial Statement when necessary.
• Evaluate and review VO claims.
• Prepare and review Progress Claims and Final Account.
• Review contractual claims.
• Consultants Engagement: Prepare, administer, review and recommend shortlisting of CQS.
• Evaluate, review and analyze proposal.
• Prepare Letter of Appointment and Consultant Engagement Agreement
• Prepare and review professional claims
• General: To implement all relevant policies, procedures and work instructions as is defined in the Company’s Quality Management System.
