Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Quality engineer in Penang to design and implement robust quality control processes for NPI products and ongoing manufacturing. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations and suppliers to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.

The role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of quality tools (8D, DFMEA, CPK) and excellent communication abilities to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential.
• Proficient in quality tools: 8D, DFMEA, CPK.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and install quality control processes, procedures, tools, and statistical techniques.
• Formulate quality control policies in collaboration with engineering, operations and suppliers; analyze economic impact.
• Understand customer needs; develop Quality Plan; track and report quality health for NPI products.
• Identify quality risk; drive mitigation actions to ensure product meets requirements and standards.
• Review and approve failure analyses; validate root cause; implement corrective actions to prevent repeats.
• Review, approve sampling and testing procedures; ensure product readiness for release or ship acceptance.
