Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Quality professional to lead supplier quality initiatives for incoming materials. The role focuses on auditing suppliers, monitoring performance, and enforcing quality systems to meet corporate standards.

You will develop and implement inspection criteria, train inspectors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance in a dynamic electronics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 7-10 years of product quality, supplier quality, incoming quality, or supplier management experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of supplier auditing, quality systems, inspection methods, and corrective action processes.
• Familiarity with FAA (First Article Approval), non-conformance management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and audit new supplier.

• Maintain supplier Quality Agreement signing & update to ensure suppliers' quality control system meet company requirements.

• Review and approve FAA to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirements.
• Submit monthly quality reports for responsible materials & suppliers.
• SSR and ECN approval.
• Handle incoming NCMR (non-conformance materials report) in IQC and production processes.
• Coordinate incoming nonconformance material RMA.
• Support QE to handle customer complaints related to incoming materials.
• RoHS policies, procedures and systems implementation and feedback for customer surveys.
• RoHS approvals in FAAR.

About the role

Develop and implement quality procedure and system, monitor and develop supplier qualified performance with the objective of maintaining quality incoming materials within QS and corporate procedure, system and guideline.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and audit new supplier
• Monitor supplier quality performance
• Implement annual audit plan for suppliers
• Develop and push suppliers for continuous improvement
• Maintain supplier Quality Agreement signing & update in order to ensure suppliers' quality control system meet company's quality requirement
• Work out inspection working instruction & criteria
• Provide quality training to inspectors in order to provide guideline for incoming inspection and ensure the effectiveness of inspection
• Review and approve FAA in order to ensure incoming materials meet quality requirement
• Submit monthly quality report for responsible materials & suppliers in order to reflect suppliers' quality performance
• SSR and ECN approve
• Handle incoming NCMR (non-conformance materials report) both in IQC & in production process
• Coordinate incoming nonconformance material RMA (returned material authorization)
• Support QE to handle customer complaint related to incoming materials in order to ensure the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action process

RoHS

• Implement RoHS policies, procedures and systems in order to ensure the procedures complying with National/Regional standards/requirements as well as the Corporate RoHS policy
• Prepare feedback for customer's Hazardous Substance Free survey
• RoHS approve in FAAR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 7-10years of product quality, supplier quality, incoming quality, or supplier management experience within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of supplier auditing, quality systems, inspection methods, and corrective action processes.
