Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC professional to manage QA/QC issues, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with QMS standards. You will support customer audits, certification bodies, and internal audits while coordinating with cross-functional teams to address RoHS/REACH items.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least two years’ experience in electronics manufacturing QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/QC in electronics manufacturing; fresh graduates with internship in QA will be considered.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/TS 16949).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Knowledge of document control and audit processes i.e. RBA/TISAX.
• Understanding of SPC and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
• Ability to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• QA/QC related issues management and continuous improvement initiation.
• Ensure QMS documents reviewed, approved and stored for stakeholders.
• Support QMS manager during customer audits, Certification Bodies audit, and Internal audits.
• Respond to RoHS/REACH items compliance with internal teams.
• Oversee calibration activities.
• Provide all information to customers as required (Quality related).
• Work with internal teams to meet customer needs.
• Timely response to customer complaints as defined by procedure.
• Perform customer complaint corrective action for implementation and effectiveness.
• Provide on-site support during customer audits.
• Perform analysis and validation of customer returned parts.

Job description

Responsible for QAQC related issues, SOP/ISO compliance& initiate continuous improvement.

QMS

• To ensure QMS documents are adequately reviewed, approved and stored to be accessible by stake holders in the company.
• To support QMS manager during customer audits, Certification Bodies audit, and Internal audits.
• To follow up closely with engineering, purchasing, quality and sales to respond to RoHS/REACH items compliance for customers.
• Overseeing calibration activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CQE

• Responsible to provide all information to customer as required, which is Quality related (Product, Return, Replacement, Specification, QMS, Audit).
• Responsible to work with internal functional teams to meet the needs of the customer.
• Timely response to customer complaint as define the procedure or customer prescribed manner.
• Perform customer complaint corrective action for implementation and effectives
• To provide any on-site support to customer during customer audit.
• Perform analysis and validation of customer returned parts.

QMS

• Responsible to review, register, update and distribute quality system documents to ensure all documents are complying to QDOS documentation system.
• To analyse all levels of documents (Quality Manual, SOP, WI, Form & checklist) with internal functional teams for improvement on yearly basis.
• To monitor all quality records are archived at designated area (Document room,etc) as per retention period stated in Quality Record Archiving SOP.
• To support QMS manager to perform process, product, system & environment audits at various processes from time to time
• Responsible to handle external audits such as Customer audit, Certification body audit and Internal audit.
• To submit RoHS/REACH Compliant documents and meet customer requirements timely.
• To follow up, monitor and update equipment calibration as per Master list schedule
• Support purchasing team for suppliers audit.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related roles, in electronics manufacturing industry preferred. Fresh graduates with internship in QA will also be considered.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/TS 16949, etc.).
• Familiarity with quality methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Knowledge of document control and audit processes. i.e. RBA/TISAX
