Job summary

Samtec, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Support (MQS) / Senior Quality Coordinator for day and night shifts. The role collaborates with stamping, molding, plating, optics, automation, and other areas to prevent quality issues and improve performance.

You will monitor process performance through audits, lead in-process inspections, maintain quality documentation, and report monthly updates. Strong data analysis and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis skills and data-driven decision making.
• Solid understanding of process knowledge in manufacturing areas.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Quality ownership – own quality metrics within the assigned production area.
• Cross-functional collaboration with supervisors, CQEs, and maintenance techs to drive improvements.
• Data analysis & improvement planning – track trends and develop action plans.
• Investigation & resolution – identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Quality standards guidance – train operators and supervisors on standards.
• Documentation updates – create or update applicable documentation.
• In-process audits/IPA and floor walks; ensure conformance to specs.
• Quality reporting – prepare End-of-Month updates and weekly QP updates.
• Review Board administration – oversee QP reviews and action tracking.
• Material containment & issue management as needed.
• Support product transfers, approvals, and related inspections.
