Job summary

Samtec is seeking a Senior Quality Coordinator for the Manufacturing Quality Support (MQS) team. The role focuses on owning quality metrics across production areas, collaborating with various teams to prevent quality issues and drive improvements, and monitoring process performance through audits and data analysis.

The position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus proficiency with MS Office and the ability to work across multiple shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis skills and data-driven decision making.
• Solid understanding of processes in the assigned area.
• Excellent problem-solving and investigative abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
• Collaborative team player; works well with operators, floor managers, engineers.
• Able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.

Responsibilities

• Own quality metrics within the assigned area.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement.
• Analyze data trends and plan continuous improvement.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes, implement actions.
• Guide operators and supervisors on quality standards.
• Maintain and update required documentation.
• Conduct in-process audits and floor walks.
• Prepare end-of-month quality updates and KPI reports.
• Manage Review Board administration and action tracking.
• Identify containment for affected materials.
• Support product transfer inspections and approvals.
• Liaise between Manufacturing and support groups.
• Assist training and monitor corrective actions.
• Take on new responsibilities as assigned.
• Note: additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
