Job summary

Altera Corporation seeks an experienced Senior QMS Engineer to lead automotive quality requirements deployment, QMS improvements, and cross-functional quality execution across manufacturing, test, and supplier management. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Quality Management Systems, automotive quality or semiconductor fields.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 automotive quality-management principles.
• Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and Control Plans.
• Experience with calibration, measurement equipment, measurement traceability and out-of-tolerance management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, test or laboratory quality systems.
• Ability to translate industry/customer requirements into executable processes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills in a matrixed org.
• Experience with geographically distributed teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as QMS SME for automotive quality requirements and enhance QMS framework.
• Lead deployment of automotive standards (IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, VDA).
• Maintain processes, governance, and evidence for FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans.
• Translate automotive requirements into procedures, templates, training, workflows.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain to strengthen process controls.
• Support certification/readiness activities, gap closure, audits and corrective actions.
• Provide QMS support for ADG and other regulated initiatives.
• Mentor teams on automotive quality systems, AIAG methodologies, calibration, and measurement systems.
