Job summary

RHB Group is seeking a senior project/program leader to manage strategic initiatives across multiple countries. You will define objectives, timelines, budgets and resource needs while guiding cross-functional teams to deliver architectural changes and high-value solutions.

The role demands strong leadership, formal governance, risk management, and the ability to coordinate complex programs across regions. You will report progress to the Board and senior management and drive stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Manage new key strategic projects to meet project/program goals, including objectives, timelines, costs and resources.
• Initiate and set goals for the project/program; strategize directions/objectives aligned to business goals.
• Oversee strategic projects/programs spanning multiple countries in the region.
• Lead teams of subject matter experts to deliver architectural changes and technical solutions.
• Demonstrate strong leadership to plan, manage and implement large-scale, complex, high-cost projects with maximum value.
• Coordinate management of multiple related projects under a program-level initiative.
• Run and facilitate cross-functional projects/programs with large budgets and complexity.
• Manage interdependencies and risk, driving issue resolutions and seeking guidance as needed.
• Oversee all activities in the project/program lifecycle to meet time, budget and scope.
• Manage and monitor project/program budgets to ensure adherence to costs.
• Ensure project/program quality by embedding relevant quality processes.
• Establish and maintain risk management processes for projects/programs.
• Develop and execute efficient communication strategies with management layers.
• Build relationships with internal senior management and external vendors and suppliers; influence stakeholders.
• Plan staffing, recruitment, and sourcing aligned to project/program goals.
• Identify sourcing requirements, manage sourcing activities and align with goals.
• Oversee test management teams and contract discussions with suppliers.
• Provide leadership and performance guidance to staff within the team and project staff.
• Develop and socialize best practices for project-related tasks within the organisation.
• Establish governance, audit and risk matters during execution and report progress to stakeholders.

• Manage strategic projects / programs covering multiple countries across the region.
• Lead and drive teams of subject matter experts to produce architectural change and technical solutions to meet the project and business needs.
• Deliver strong leadership skills with proven ability to plan, manage and implement large scale, complex and high cost projects successfully with the highest value for the organization.
• Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects under a program level initiative.
• Deliver strong leadership skills with proven ability to run, manage and facilitate large and complex projects/programs that are cross-functional in nature and have high budgets.
• Manage interdependencies and risks and drive resolutions of key issues, escalating these risks and issues for guidance and decision where necessary.
• Manage all activities within the project/program management lifecycle, ensuring they are complete on time within the agree budget and scope
• Manage the project/program budget effectively. Ensure that costs incurred are to be closely monitored and tracked as the project/program progresses.
• Be responsible for project/program quality, and embed quality processes where applicable and relevant
• Manage the project/program risks, and embed a risk management process.
• Develop and execute efficient communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team.
• Build strong stakeholders relationship with both internal - senior management level and external – vendors and supplier. Influence stakeholders with different agendas to align with project/program objectives
• Manage and develop the project/program staffing plan, identify hiring needs, develop the position description, conduct recruitments.
• Identify sourcing requirements for project/program, manage the sourcing activities and conduct necessary activities to optimize and align with set goals.
• Manage and oversee the test management team.
• Manage suppliers’ contracts, drive contracts discussion with suppliers, identify the areas of negotiation, facilitate the negotiations sessions with suppliers.
• Responsible for the administration, supervision, coaching, development and performance management of staff within the team/section. Provides technical leadership and direction to subordinates and other project staff
• Develop, implement and socialise the best practices for performing project related tasks for the organisation.
• Establish and execute effectively the governance framework as well as audit and risk matters during the execution of projects/programs
• Communicate project progress and statuses to Board of Directors, relevant RHB Committees, Senior Management, PSC & project team on a regular and timely basis.
