Job summary

Southern Score Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple projects from planning to delivery. You will lead budgeting, schedule adherence, quality control and compliance with ISO 37001.

You will mentor a team, coordinate with developers, consultants, subcontractors and authorities, and drive risk assessment, approvals and tender processes to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering (civil & structural) or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of working experience in a construction management role (e.g. Construction Manager).
• Good interpersonal, communication and coordination skills, with a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall project construction planning, implementation and delivery.
• Lead annual budget preparation and monitor performance against budget and business plan.
• Establish and implement SOPs for construction management processes.
• Lead, guide and advise team on construction management, cost and quality control, and liaison with developers, consultants, subcontractors and authorities.
• Analyze, manage and mitigate project construction risk.
• Ensure timely approvals from relevant authorities.
• Provide guidance to team members as needed.
• Strengthen relationships with government departments and authorities.
• Lead tender document preparation, tender submissions and contractor interviews.
• Coordinate meetings with consultants and contractors.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil & Structural) or equivalent

Job description

Responsible for overall project construction planning, implementation and delivery of various projects.

Lead the preparation of annual budget and monitor the achievement of the performance indicators of the various projects as per the approved business plan and annual budget.

Establish and implement standard operating procedures for the relevant business processes for construction management operations.

Lead, guide and advise team members on day-to-day activities like construction management, cost and quality control, project monitoring and liaison with developers, consultants, subcontractors and authorities.

Analyze, manage and mitigate project construction risk.

Ensure timely approvals are being obtained from the relevant authorities.

Provide advice to the team members on area require / seek guidance.

Liaison and strengthen the relationship with the relevant government departments and authorities.

Lead preparation of tender documents, submission of work tenders & attending for contractors tender interviews.

Conduct and lead coordination meetings with consultants and contractors.

Job Requirements

• Possess Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil & Structural) or equivalent
• At least 10 years of working experience in construction management role (e.g. Construction Manager).
• Good interpersonal, communication and co-ordination skills, and with positive can-do attitude.
