Job summary

Pekat E&LP Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with an Electrical background to lead engineering projects, manage construction activities, and ensure delivery on time and within budget. The role requires strong planning, cost control, and coordination with supervisors on site.

The candidate should have 5–7 years in related fields, experience in ELP or PV sectors is a plus, and proficiency with CAD and MS Office is expected. Willingness to work outstation is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in related field.
• Equivalent experience and knowledge in Photovoltaic industry are preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan construction projects and monitor progress.
• Resolve site construction problems and support decisions.
• Plan manpower resources and ensure progress aligns with schedule.
• Control costs of materials and labour.
• Review design, specs and schedules to keep BOQ and usage within budget.
• Ensure timely project delivery and basic ELP layout as needed.

Senior Project Engineer (Electrical Background)

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling all project elements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Managing and planning the construction project and check progress and activities in order.

Managing the supervisors and to resolve site construction problems and making decision.

Plan and strategize on the manpower resources.

Ensure that all site progress and interim collection are as per scheduled.

Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.

Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, to ensure BOQ and material usage falls within the allocated budget.

Ensuring that projects are delivered on time.

To produce basic ELP layout as needed.

Requirement

Experience in E&LP Industry will be an advantage.

Hardworking, versatile, discipline, self-motivated, good interpersonal and communication skills, fast learner, mature and responsible.

Analytical, able to work independently and handle multi-tasking.

Able to and is willing to work outstation.

Possess good communication skills.

Qualifications
