Job summary

Pekat E&LP Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to provide leadership and coordination for day-to-day safety requirements on the assigned project. You will support the project management team, supervisors and workers to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Key duties include inspecting site conditions, correcting unsafe practices, and coordinating with subcontractors and safety authorities. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Registered Safety & Health Supervisor with Yellow Book (DIOSH/NIOSH/JKKP)
• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent
• At least 2 years of working experience
• Professional certificates or higher qualifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect and rectify unsafe conditions at the site
• Correct unsafe practices
• Check subcontractors' work for compliance with the Act and Regulations
• Liaise with contractor's safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26
• Handle and report workers issues to HOD
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by enforcing standards
• Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized departments to maintain safety standards
• Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to management on timely basis

Job description

Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for providing support to the project management team, supervisors, foreman and workers. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirement of the assigned project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and rectifying any unsafe conditions at the site
• Correcting any unsafe practices
• Checking of sub-contractors work to ensure compliance with the Act and the Regulations made thereunder are complied with
• Liaise with contractor's safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with safety of work undertaken by sub-contractor
• To handle and monitor general workers problems and report to HOD
• Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
• Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg. Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan, CIDB and etc) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirement
• Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the management on timely basis

Skills Required:

• Able to use basic computer skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Working experience in an Engineering solution based company
• Team player and able to work with all levels of staff

Qualifications:

• A registered Safety & Health Supervisor with DIOSH/NIOSH/JKKP with Yellow Book holder
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent
• At least 2 years working experience.
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
