SSI SCHAEFER in Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead major projects through the full lifecycle: engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ engineering and site-execution experience, strong leadership and communication, proficiency in AutoCAD, and willingness to travel to APAC project sites.

This is a local employment package with no expatriate benefits.

Responsabilidades

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage major and complex projects, overseeing the entire project lifecycle including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final handover.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, project management capabilities, and leadership skills to manage complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure all project objectives are achieved in terms of scope, quality, cost, and schedule.

This position is offered on a local employment package based on the successful candidate’s country of employment and does not include expatriate benefits.

Job Description

• Lead and manage assigned projects from project award through to final completion and handover.
• Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into clear project specifications and deliverables.
• Coordinate with all core team members which are involved in the project.
• Conduct regular progress meetings with team members to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure project activities are aligned with approved schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate all the installation activities and on-site resources to ensure the project stays within the timeline and budget.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

About you

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Candidates with a background or experience in steelwork construction will be highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably with hands-on site experience and project execution exposure.
• Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work at remote project sites across the APAC region for the duration of project implementation.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in engineering design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD.
• Good project management, planning, coordination, and site supervision skills.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proactive individual with a positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
