Job summary

SSI SCHAEFER in Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead major projects through the full lifecycle: engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ engineering and site-execution experience, strong leadership and communication, proficiency in AutoCAD, and willingness to travel to APAC project sites.

This is a local employment package with no expatriate benefits.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, with site execution.
Experience in steelwork construction preferred.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Willingness to travel to remote APAC project sites.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects from award to final handover.
Develop schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Translate customer requirements into project specifications and deliverables.
Coordinate with core team members involved in the project.
Conduct progress meetings to identify and resolve issues.
Ensure activities align with schedules, budgets and quality requirements.
Coordinate installation activities and on-site resources to meet timeline and budget.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
