Job summary

VC Engineering, a well-established engineering and construction company, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support data centre project execution, ensuring delivery within schedule, quality, and safety standards. Responsibilities include assisting the Project Manager, coordinating site works, reviewing drawings and specs, monitoring progress, and supporting testing, commissioning, and handover.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering and 4–6 years in construction/MEP, with cleanroom/data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4-6 years’ experience in Construction, MEP, or related industrial projects.
• Experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, or data center projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, construction sequencing, and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of construction/MEP projects.
• Coordinate site works with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance on site.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and project updates.
• Support testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical solutions.
• Execute other tasks to support departmental objectives.

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Senior Project Engineer to support our Data Centre project execution and ensure delivery within schedule, quality, and safety standards.

What You'll Do:

Assist Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of construction/MEP projects.

Coordinate site works with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Review drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance on site.

Prepare reports, documentation, and project updates.

Support testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical solutions.

Execute any other tasks, projects, or responsibilities assigned by the Superior to support departmental and organizational objectives

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).

4-6 years’ experience in Construction, MEP, or related industrial projects.

Experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, or data center projects is an advantage.

Knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, construction sequencing, and commissioning processes.

Good coordination, communication, and problem solving skills.

Project Location will be at various industrial areas and business districts within Kedah and Penang, depending on project requirements.
