Job summary

Verdant Solar Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to set the benchmark for residential solar installations across the Southern region. You will lead site execution, ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery, and model best practices in electrical maintenance and project handovers.

You should have a diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years of on-site solar experience, and strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of site experience in solar PV or electrical installation.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, wiring, and site safety.
• Willing to travel daily in Southern region.
• GCPV, CIDB Green Card or similar certifications are advantageous.

• Model the Verdant Way of site management, ensuring electrical wiring, equipment checks and site safety protocols are executed to high quality.
• Guide junior Project Engineers by sharing advanced site-management techniques, troubleshooting insights and best practices.
• Independently resolve high-complexity design or construction issues on-site and coordinate with project teams for cost-effective solutions.
• Anticipate technical risks and implement preventive measures before issues arise on site.
• Maintain flawless site records and progress reports to support smooth handovers and claims.

About The Role

As our Senior Project Engineer, you will be a highly trusted professional who sets the benchmark for site execution in the Southern region. You will consistently deliver professional, high-quality engineering outcomes, and go beyond meeting project timelines by modelling best practices in site supervision, electrical maintenance and quality auditing!

What You’ll Do

Model the "Verdant Way" of site management, ensuring all electrical wiring, equipment checks and site safety protocols are executed to gold-standard quality.

Actively guide junior Project Engineers by sharing advanced site-management techniques, technical shortcuts and troubleshooting insights.

Independently resolve high-complexity design or construction issues on-site, coordinating with project teams to find practical, cost-effective solutions.

Anticipate potential technical risks and implement preventive solutions before issues arise on-site.

Maintain flawless site records and progress reports, setting a standard for accuracy that ensures smooth project handovers and financial claims.

Standardize documentation practices to enable knowledge sharing, reduce dependency on individuals and support scalable operations.

Who We Are Looking For

Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3–5 years of site experience in solar PV, electrical installation or construction projects.

Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical wiring and site safety practices.

An established network of solar installers and subcontractors in the Southern region.

Willing to travel daily to customer sites across Southern region.

An independent, proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and acts quickly when issues come up on site.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with a customer-first, team-player attitude.

Possession of a GCPV certification, a Chargeman or Wireman certificate, or a CIDB Green Card will be an added advantage.
