Job summary

Celestica in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Technical Operator 4 to perform manual and automated assembly, soldering, testing, and inspection within a fast-paced manufacturing line.

Qualifications

• Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
• In-depth knowledge of board assembly process and product process flow.
• In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
• Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment.
• Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and address those problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
• Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in Word, Lotus Notes, Excel.
• More advanced manufacturing systems knowledge

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks such as manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
• In addition will perform machine and line setups, feeder repairs and first line preventative maintenance.
