QUICK3D in Shah Alam is seeking a Production Technician to operate FDM and SLA printers, scan objects, and prepare print files. You will manage builds, perform routine maintenance, inspect finished parts, and hand off to post-processing.
The role requires 2+ years in a 3D printing environment and the ability to read English job sheets and logs. You will work on-site Monday to Friday 9:30am–6:30pm and Saturday mornings, supporting the design and project teams with timely updates and quality
Production Technician at QUICK3D, operating FDM and SLA printers to the daily job list from the Production Technician Manager. You will set up builds, run 3D scanning, prepare print files, remove finished parts, perform machine care, inspect parts, manage stock, guide the assistant, maintain job sheets, and keep the workspace clean and safe.
Key responsibilities
Operate FDM and SLA printers to the daily job list from the Production Technician Manager
Set up each build: load filament or resin, level and calibrate, start the job and check it at set intervals so failed prints are caught early
Run 3D scanning of client objects and clean up the scan data for printing
Prepare print files: repair meshes, set orientation and supports, and slice. For large sculptures, follow the split plan approved by the manager
Remove finished parts and supports, wash and cure SLA parts, join sectioned FDM prints, and hand parts over to the post-processing team
Do daily and weekly machine care (nozzle cleaning, resin tank checks, bed levelling), fix minor faults, and report bigger ones to the manager. Record everything in the maintenance log
Inspect parts against the job sheet (size, surface, fit and quantity) and flag defects to the manager before handover
Count material and spare-part stock each week and report low stock
Guide the assistant on daily tasks and cover the floor when the manager is away
Keep job sheets up to date and answer job status questions from the design team and project managers promptly

Can work on-site in Shah Alam: Monday to Friday 9:30am–6:30pm and Saturday 9:30am–12:00pm
Can read and fill in job sheets, checklists and maintenance logs in English

Experience with 3D scanners and scan-to-mesh software
Mesh and CAD tools such as Blender, ZBrush, Meshmixer, Fusion 360 or Netfabb
Has trained or guided a junior technician or assistant
A certificate or diploma in mechanical, mechatronics, manufacturing or product design. Equivalent workshop experience counts just as much
