Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Planner to optimize production schedules, ensure material availability, and collaborate across Master Scheduling, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Engineering.

The role focuses on reducing risks, improving delivery performance, and maintaining inventory health. You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate changes and NPI, and prepare daily/weekly reports for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, inventory management, SAP systems and material planning.
• Proven experience working closely with Master Scheduling, Procurement, and Production teams to execute production plans.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare management reports.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Master Scheduler, Procurement, Production, Warehouse and Engineering to optimize production schedules and material availability.
• Monitor production performance and identify risks to drive timely recovery actions.
• Manage inventory to maintain optimal stock levels supporting production and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate engineering changes, NPI, and schedule adjustments to minimize operational impact.
• Prepare and communicate daily production status updates and weekly production and inventory reports.
• Analyze planning and inventory data to improve production efficiency, delivery performance and inventory health.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support cross-functional projects to enhance planning processes.
