Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to develop and maintain detailed production schedules across manufacturing lines, coordinating with procurement, sales and inventory to meet delivery targets.

You will lead a planning team, optimize material flow, monitor performance metrics and drive lean improvements while ensuring availability of materials, equipment and labor for on-time production in Bayan Lepas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business studies, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding on international trade (for example, FOB, CIF, DDP and so on).
• Proficient in using SAP systems.
• Familiar with how to develop an EMS factory and fully understand the processes.
• Strong understanding of production workflows, capacity planning, and inventory control.

Job Description

• Work with the inventory team to manage raw materials and finished goods effectively.
• Implement systems to track and manage materials, reducing waste and excess.
• Track production performance metrics (e.g., efficiency, downtime, throughput) and report findings to management.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Provide regular updates on production status, potential risks, and progress towards goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within production planning and scheduling.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing techniques and process optimization strategies.
• Lead efforts to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of production planning.
• Any ad-hoc tasks as per assigned by manager.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business studies, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding on international trade (for example, FOB, CIF, DDP and so on).
  • Proficient in using SAP systems
  • Familiar with how to develop an EMS factory and fully understand the processes.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, capacity planning, and inventory control.
  • Good capability to calculate manufacture cost.
  • Understand basic business cooperation contract.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to manage production adjustments and optimize output.
  • Able to communicate effectively across departments, especially with production, warehouse, and sales teams.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to track project timelines, especially during new product trials or project transitions.
  • Fluent in English and/or Mandarin for communication with internal teams and external vendors (if applicable).
  • Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by superiors.
  • SAP using experience is plus.
