Job summary

Renesas Electronics Malaysia is seeking a Test Product Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the product life cycle. The role focuses on yield enhancement, reducing test costs and ensuring the overall quality and manufacturability of devices.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 3 years in a high-volume semiconductor environment, with strong knowledge of analog/digital/power test methods and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field is required.
• 3 years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing environment, preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering.
• Strong understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis, reliability test, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition on low-yield production lots; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues and ensure smooth production flow.
• Execute day-to-day sustaining activities to improve overall lot rejection rate and SYL/SBL sustaining.
• Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and various engineering activities.
• Lead gross margin improvement initiatives focusing on yield improvement.
• Oversee system integration across modules and platforms.
