Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Process Integration professional to drive technology transfer into production and to own key control plans. You will bridge unit process development with factory engineering, ensuring robust design for manufacturability and cost-effective manufacturing.

The role requires a Master or PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science with 5+ years in semiconductor/LED fabrication, plus strong problem-solving and statistical analysis

Qualifications

• Master degree or PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Material Sciences with min 5 years experience in semiconductor or LED fabrication processes.
• Advanced problem solving skills (Six Sigma), Design of Experiments, FMEA, 8D methodology, SPC, FDC, automotive experience beneficial
• Experience with statistical software beneficial (e.g. Minitab, DOE software)

Responsibilities

• Introduction of new technologies/platforms into production, act as bridge between unit process development, chip development and the factory's process engineering, owner of control plan
• Ensure robust process development, design for manufacturability, fit to factory capabilities / platforms, bring mass production experience into the development process
• Clearly understand tool capabilities and influence tool roadmap, achieve capex utilization and target cost goals
• Identify and monitor critical parameters (special characteristics), ensure smooth ramp-up; update control plans
• Technical Ownership for site to site technology / product transfers, ensure site synchronization including proper change management
• Lead, supervise and monitor manufacturing of the process technology in close teamwork with process engineering and quality assurance; improve yields and cost
• Excursion management, root cause finding, problem solving with cross-functional teams
• Take process ownership at customer audits and for control plan reporting; lead cross-functional technical teams
