Job summary

Greatech in Penang is seeking a Security Engineer to establish production workflow, oversee security systems, and lead improvements on the factory floor. You will coordinate with IE, engineering and PM to maintain secure operations and support safety compliance.

The role requires a degree in an engineering field and at least five years in a semiconductor clean room, with strong leadership and incident-reporting skills. On-site position with opportunities to influence security and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering field required.
• Minimum 5 years in a clean room environment within semiconductor production.
• Experience managing security personnel, vendors and contractors.
• Familiar with manufacturing facility security and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills demonstrated.
• Good knowledge of access control, CCTV, alarm systems and security tech.
• Excellent incident investigation and reporting abilities.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and decisively.
• Proficient with MS Office for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Establish build sequence and production workflow on the floor.
• Create work instructions for required processes in production.
• Assess needed jigs, fixtures and tools for production.
• Create PFMEA, control plan and risk assessment.
• Provide inputs to optimize production layout with IE.
• Provide solutions for quality issues affecting deliveries.
• Liaise with engineering, material, PM and MIS on BOM/drawings.
• Enhance processing techniques on the production floor.
• Drive process improvements to reduce cost and raise productivity.
• Provide training to staff on processes and improvements.
