Job summary

SD Guthrie International invites an experienced chemical/process engineer to lead hydrogenation and IE plant operations in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. You will monitor reactor performance, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in Hydrogenation plants, edible oil processing or oleochemical manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Receive work instructions or production scheduling from Manager.
• Ensure plant throughput meets budgeted cost and operates at high efficiency.
• Maintain product quality to specifications and ensure safety compliance.
• Arrange preventive/corrective maintenance to keep plants running smoothly.
• Lead continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Develop dashboards for monthly production reports and SAP data."],
