Job summary

SD Guthrie International is seeking a Chemical Engineer with 3–8 years in hydrogenation plants or edible oil processing to lead production, maintain quality, and drive continuous improvement. You will ensure safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance while coordinating maintenance, reporting in SAP, and mentoring plant staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, analytical problem-solving, and strong MS Excel/PowerPoint skills to support daily operations and monthly performance dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with 3–8 years in hydrogenation/oil processing.
• Proven leadership, teamwork and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with a quality/compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receive work instructions or production scheduling from the Manager.
• Ensure daily plant throughput meets budgeted cost and is optimally utilized.
• Maintain product quality per specifications and monitor process parameters.
• Proactively arrange corrective and preventive maintenance for smooth operation.
• Implement safety measures in all production areas and maintain hygiene standards.
• Manage manpower to operate plants and coach subordinates.
• Ensure HACCP, ISO, OHSAS programs are followed and effective.
• Prepare SAP and conventional reports on daily production quantities.
• Meet monthly material balancing deadlines in SAP; liaise with Finance and Logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement debottlenecking, and monitor OEE.
• Oversee equipment like reactors, heat exchangers, and pumps; participate in shutdowns.
• Develop dashboards for monthly reporting and monitor hydrogenation/IE processes.
