SD Guthrie International invites a seasoned Production Manager to lead the Consumer Packing Plant operations, including Margarine and Shortening divisions and lines 1–6. You will plan daily production, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while meeting KPI targets.
Responsibilities include optimizing OEE, coordinating with QA/QC, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, applying Lean tools, and coaching shift leaders to sustain discipline in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Lead, manage, and supervise the daily operations of the Consumer Packing Plant (CPP), including the Margarine Plant, Shortening Plant, Packing Lines 1-6, DR1, DR2A, and DR2B, to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Plan, organize, implement, and monitor daily production schedules to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments in accordance with approved production plans. Ensure production targets, product quality, operational efficiency, and customer service requirements are achieved while complying with company standards and operational KPIs. Coordinate closely with Production (Main Plant), Warehouse, Supply Chain, Sales, Shipping & Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering, and QA/QC to ensure uninterrupted production and timely product delivery. Ensure raw materials, packaging materials, processing chemicals, and finished products comply with approved specifications and quality requirements. Ensure production processes operate within approved process parameters and quality control limits. Investigate process deviations and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with QA/QC. Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize plant utilization, productivity, yield, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), while minimizing downtime, waste, and production losses. Ensure sufficient manpower, packaging materials, processing chemicals, utilities, equipment, and other operational resources are available for smooth plant operations. Prepare, review, and manage manpower deployment, shift arrangements, and duty rosters to ensure adequate operational coverage while optimizing overtime. Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to plan preventive maintenance, statutory inspections, shutdown activities, and equipment reliability improvement initiatives to maximize plant availability. Monitor equipment performance and initiate corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring breakdowns. Verify production reports, SAP transactions, operational records, production KPIs, and statutory documentation to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting. Assist QA/QC and Quality Management System (QMS) personnel in investigating product and process non-conformances and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure proper handling, segregation, disposition, and disposal of non-conforming products in accordance with QA/QC recommendations and company procedures. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focusing on productivity improvement, quality enhancement, cost optimization, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and process improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and PDCA methodologies. Monitor production costs, material consumption, packaging losses, utilities usage, and overtime to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Supervise and ensure all employees, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors comply with company policies, food safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements while working within the production area. Ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Company's Integrated Management System, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System), HACCP, FSSC 22000, Halal Assurance System, and any other applicable management systems, including maintaining all related operational records and documentation. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, statutory, regulatory, and company requirements related to food safety, occupational safety and health, environmental protection, and operational excellence. Support internal, external, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions. Coach, guide, and develop Shift Leaders, Assistant Shift Leaders, Operators, and Contract Workers to enhance competency, productivity, teamwork, and operational discipline. Maintain effective communication and close collaboration with all relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational priorities and prompt resolution of operational issues. Support the implementation of digitalization, automation, operational excellence, and business improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Production Manager or Management in support of departmental and company objectives.
Fresh graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering or related discipline are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, refinery operations, edible oils, food manufacturing, consumer packing, or FMCG manufacturing will have an added advantage. Experience in supervising or leading production teams, production planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing operations is preferred. Demonstrated commitment, willingness to learn, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are essential.
