Job summary

Trio-Tech (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia seeks a seasoned process engineer to lead equipment projects and drive improvements across existing and new products. You will guide production technology, mentor junior engineers, and ensure excellent service to customers through proactive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–8 years’ experience, with strong CAD skills, project management, and communication abilities for cross‑functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in a process/production engineering role.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process engineering of equipment to meet the needs of existing and new products.
• Provide technical leadership on production/equipment technology.
• Takes initiative to create, implement and improve PM documents and schedules, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting staff mentoring and oversight of junior engineers.
• Ensures customer allegiance through excellence in repair and support of customers’ products.
• Maintains communication with customer to ensure understanding of status, cost, and scheduling of all aspects of the service event.
• Provide instant troubleshooting / breakdown assistance for controls system.
• Technical investigations of repetitive / intermittent faults.
• Implement projects – control system updating, installations, & commissioning.
• Provide technical support for CNC system, such as CNC programming and maintenance.
