Job summary

WD is hiring a Process/Manufacturing Engineer in Penang to support back-end post-sputter processes, ensuring adherence to specifications and driving improvements. You will monitor key process indicators, trigger maintenance when needed, and guarantee part quality while addressing excursions.

The role requires a engineering or science degree with 2–5 years’ experience, plus familiarity with SPC and DOE and strong data-analytic skills. Malaysian-based applicants welcome.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent.
2–5 years experience as a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer (preferred).
Familiar with SPC and Design of Experiments.
Proficient in data analytics tools for process improvement.

Responsibilities

To ensure smooth execution of back-end, post-sputter processes in compliance to process specification.
To carry out engineering studies to improve post-sputter processes.
To monitor daily process KPOV and KPIV.
To trigger for process or machine maintenance as scheduled or on ad hoc basis.
To ensure compliance to operating procedures and process parameters.
To carry out evaluations for process improvement.
To ensure quality of parts that leave the process and own up any excursions and action items.
