Job summary

Western Digital is seeking an Engineering Support professional in Penang to troubleshoot machines, coordinate Equipment Technicians, and drive data-driven improvements for high-uptime manufacturing. The role involves updating SOPs/FMEA, investigating yield losses, and collaborating with Process and R&D on new materials and packaging for machine items.

Strong foundational knowledge in PLCs, robotics, Power BI, Python, and C++ will help you analyze equipment performance and contribute to cost

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or mechanical/electrical engineering.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Machine/Mechanical knowledge in design and optimization.

Responsibilities

Machine troubleshoot and maintenance.
Coordinate and oversee daily activities of Equipment Technicians.
Analyze data to maximize equipment availability and reduce downtime.
Create and update FMEA, training materials, and SOPs.
Investigate line abnormalities, quality issues, and yield loss with timely actions.
Lead continuous improvement projects on machine performance and productivity.
Collaborate with Process and R&D on new materials and packaging for machines.
Machine/tooling buy-off and standardization.
Support audits and action implementation for customers.
