Job summary

Kyocera AVX Components (Penang) Sdn Bhd seeks a seasoned Process Engineer to join its advanced electronics manufacturing team. You will support new product evaluation, drive cost reductions and implement process improvements with SPC and data-driven methods.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in engineering, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, strong data-analysis skills (DOE, FMEA, Minitab), and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience.
• Experience in data collection, analysis and root cause analysis (DOE, FMEA, Control plan, Minitab).
• Knowledge of AOI is a plus.
• Strong organization, planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Process Engineering support to new product evaluation and cost reduction and process improvement.
• SPC knowledge and ability in setting up process monitoring system.
• Able to use problem solving tools to resolve process issues and sustain permanent flow.
• Monitor in-process performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

Ability to work closely and align with cross functional teams towards achieving departmental goals

Provide Process Engineering support to new product evaluation and qualification, manufacturing cost reduction and process improvement.

SPC knowledge, expertise and ability in setting up process monitoring system

Able to use problem solving tools to effectively resolve process issue and engage a permanent process flow to sustain

Monitors in-process performance, quality and reliability of processes, materials, products, tooling and equipment; identifies problem or unfavorable deviations, recommends and executes corrective actions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field of Engineering or Applied Sciences with minimum 5 years of related working experience.

Knowledge in data collection, analyze the data and perform root cause analysis (DOE, FMEA, Control plan, Minitab and etc.)

Posses AOI (standard, Ai) skill/knowledge would be highly consider
