Job summary

Enovix Malaysia SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a Senior Principal Equipment Engineer to develop, procure and install high-volume automated assembly equipment and tooling for our 3D cell architecture.

You will support AME, collaborate with suppliers, and drive scale-up efforts to meet production demands. The role requires 5+ years in automated manufacturing equipment, strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and experience with PLCs, pneumatics, motors, and IO signals.

Qualifications

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• 5+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with automation components and tools including PLCs, pneumatics, motors, digital and analog IO, temperature controllers, and reading mechanical and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Support AME of customized automation equipment including system design DFMEA, development, and commissioning.
• Work with supplier partners to optimize system design and performance.
• Support manufacturing process scale up activities and production ramp.
• Debug current issues, improve cycle times, yields, equipment uptime OEE APQ (Availability, Performance & Quality).
• Support escalation activities and troubleshoot production equipment and maintain the Availability goals set.
• Use equipment performance data to drive improvement projects by SCADA, TMS and Machine event logs.
• Initiate continuous improvement plans for existing equipment MTBA & MTBF as well as Safety compliances.
• Institute statistical process controls on applicable manufacturing equipment.
