Job summary

Enovix Corporation is seeking a Sr Principal Equipment Engineer to develop, procure and install high volume automated assembly, test equipment and tooling for our cutting-edge 3D cell architecture.

The role requires 5+ years in automated manufacturing support, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with PLCs, pneumatics, motors, and IO diagrams. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to scale manufacturing and improve uptime and performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with automation components and tools including PLCs, pneumatics, motors, IO, temperature controllers.

Responsibilities

• Support AME of customized automation equipment including system design DFMEA, development, and commissioning.
• Work with supplier partners to optimize system design and performance.
• Support manufacturing process scales up activities and production ramp.
• Debug current issues, improve cycle times, yields, equipment uptime OEE APQ (Availability, Performance & Quality).
• Support escalation activities and troubleshoot production equipment and maintain the Availability goals set.
• Use equipment performance data to drive improvement projects by SCADA, TMS and Machine event logs.
• Initiate continuous improvement plans for existing equipment MTBA & MTBF as well as Safety compliances.
• Institute statistical process controls on applicable manufacturing equipment.
