Job summary

Advanced Energy Malaysia is seeking a Principal Power Semiconductor Device Engineer to lead failure analysis, RCCA, and reliability investigations for MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, and GaN devices across business units.

Candidates should have 15+ years in power semiconductor engineering, deep knowledge of device physics, and a strong background in RCCA/CAPA processes. The role interacts with CQE, SQE, CFA, and manufacturing teams in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in power semiconductor device engineering, failure analysis, reliability engineering, product engineering, or semiconductor test engineering.
• Extensive experience with Si, SiC, and GaN power semiconductor technologies.
• Proven expertise leading semiconductor failure investigations and RCCA activities.
• Experience supporting field failures, customer quality issues, and supplier corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex RCCA investigations for MOSFET, IGBT, diode, rectifier, SiC, and GaN failures.
• Drive 8D, RCCA, CAR, and CAPA activities for field returns and manufacturing issues.
• Develop technical conclusions supported by FA, electrical characterization, and lab data.
• Establish corrective and preventive actions to eliminate failure mechanisms.
• Present findings to management, customers, and suppliers.
• Mentor engineers in failure analysis methodologies.
