Job summary

Advanced Energy Malaysia is seeking a highly experienced Principal Power Semiconductor Device Engineer to act as the technical authority for power semiconductor failure analysis, RCCA, and reliability investigations across all Advanced Energy units. The role leads complex investigations of MOSFET, IGBT, diode, SiC, and GaN device failures.

You will work with CQE, SQE, CFA, Product, Design, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams to identify root causes and drive corrective actions, while presenting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced degree (MSEE or PhD) preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in power semiconductor device engineering.
• Extensive experience with Si, SiC, and GaN technologies.
• Proven expertise leading semiconductor failure investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex root cause investigations of MOSFET, IGBT, diode, SiC, and GaN failures.
• Drive 8D, RCCA, CAR, and CAPA activities for field returns and manufacturing issues.
• Determine failure mechanisms using analytical and data-driven methods.
• Develop conclusions supported by FA results and lab data.
• Establish corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Present findings to executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.
