Job summary

Recron Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & PLC Maintenance Engineer for our Nilai plant to safeguard automation systems and minimize downtime.

You will troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems, program PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), maintain instrumentation, and prepare documentation. A degree in Instrumentation Engineering and 5+ years of hands-on experience are required, with strong knowledge of SCADA, HMI programming, CMMS, and industrial communications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Instrumentation systems and PLC programming.
• Strong knowledge of plant PLC systems and drives troubleshooting.
• Skilled in reading electrical diagrams and performing field diagnostics.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing plant maintenance.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI programming, and industrial communication protocols.
• Knowledge of maintenance reporting systems (CMMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, PLC systems, and drives (VFDs, servo drives).
• Perform PLC programming, modification, and system integration (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Ensure the proper functioning of all plant automation and control systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on Instrumentation and control equipment.
• Prepare and maintain Instrumentation reports and system documentation.
• Support plant operations by minimizing downtime and enhancing system reliability.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and electrical standards.
