Job summary

Molex, a Koch company, seeks a senior Process Engineer for plating/surface-treatment to own the technical strategy for yield, quality, and cost across the department. You will mentor Process and Senior Process Engineers and drive cross-site improvement projects end-to-end.

You will establish governance for FMEA and SOPs, analyze SPC data, and coordinate with Manufacturing/E engineering on equipment choices and process-flow architecture, while ensuring EHS compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials, Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or equivalent).
• 8+ years in manufacturing or process engineering, plating/surface treatment experience preferred.
• Advanced expertise with SPC, Cp/Cpk, FMEA, SOPs, and control plans.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional improvement projects and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of EHS requirements for chemical/process environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for yield, quality, and cost performance of plating processes.
• Lead and mentor Process and Senior Process Engineers, reviewing improvement projects.
• Plan and execute high-impact cost-reduction and process-improvement projects with measurable gains.
• Establish governance for parameters, FMEA, and SOPs to ensure scalable plating processes.
• Analyze SPC data and capability studies; translate findings into investments.
• Lead cross-site teams to resolve complex customer complaints with root-cause actions.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and lead process risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering on equipment and process-flow improvements.
• Serve as escalation point and subject-matter expert for plating activities.
