Job summary

Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad seeks a Senior Petrophysicist to lead petrophysical planning, interpretation, and data integration across exploration, development, and intervention programs in Malaysia. You will manage multiple projects, coordinate with geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers and other subsurface disciplines to maximize value and ensure data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience or Earth Sciences, Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Essential experience in geological interpretation and modelling methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of petrophysical principles, formation evaluation and interpretation workflows.
• Strong understanding of well logging tools and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality petrophysical support to exploration, appraisal, development drilling and intervention jobs/projects.
• Provide QC and assurance of the existing interpretations, techniques and methodology.
• Carry out integrated petrophysical studies in a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver petrophysical input for integrated field studies and ensure uncertainties are incorporated in models.
• Document and present interpretation methodology and results to stakeholders.
• Plan Well Proposals and Well Data Acquisition programs and assist in Field Development Plans.
• Provide technical recommendations including value of information for data acquisition plans.
• Deliver real-time petrophysical support during drilling and well placement monitoring.
• Provide support to well intervention jobs including saturation logging and cement bond logging QC.
• Establish and manage LWD, Wireline, Core and Reservoir Fluids Analysis contracts.
• Mentor and coach petrophysicists or geoscientists in the team.
• Collaborate with subsurface team and multidisciplinary departments.
