Job summary

LRQA is seeking a Lead Security Consultant to deliver technically demanding security engagements across mobile, infrastructure, and cloud environments. The role involves ownership from planning to final delivery, with guidance to junior consultants and development of testing methodologies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong English communication, leadership, and hands-on expertise in OCI, CIS benchmarks, and cloud platforms. Hybrid work in Malaysia with client site visits.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of relevant penetration testing experience.
• Hands-on testing across mobile, infrastructure, and cloud domains.
• Experience with cloud security assessments (OCI, Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Familiarity with CIS/STIG benchmarks and vendor baselines.
• Mentoring and developing junior consultants.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to lead, teach, and collaborate on engagements.

Responsibilities

• Client interaction: manage end-to-end delivery of engagements.
• Quality delivery: produce high-quality security reports.
• Consultancy: build client relationships and provide practical security advice.
• Project leadership: lead small to mid-size engagements and coordinate teams.
• Team development: mentor juniors and share knowledge.
• Presales support: scope engagements and advise on testing methodologies.
• Technical contribution: contribute to internal tooling and methodologies.
