Job summary

LRQA in Malaysia is seeking a Lead Security Consultant (Penetration Testing) to lead technically demanding engagements across mobile, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. The role requires ownership from planning through delivery, mentoring juniors, and guiding clients with practical security advice.

You will work in a hybrid model, on client sites and from the Kuala Lumpur office, with shift-based hours aligned to local or international business times. Strong English is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant penetration testing experience.
• Hands-on testing across mobile applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with CIS/STIG benchmarks and security baselines.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior consultants.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams.

Responsibilities

• Client interaction: end-to-end delivery of security engagements.
• Quality delivery: high-quality reports, peer review.
• Consultancy: build professional relationships and scoping.
• Project leadership: lead small to medium projects.
• Team development: mentoring, sharing knowledge, presales scoping.
• Technical contribution: develop tooling and guidance.
