Job summary

LRQA in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks a Lead Security Consultant (Penetration Testing, Shift-based) to lead technically demanding security engagements across diverse environments, from planning to final delivery, with a hybrid working arrangement in Malaysia.

You will mentor junior consultants, shape testing methodologies, and contribute to internal tooling while engaging clients and coordinating small to mid-size projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant penetration testing experience.
• Hands-on testing across mobile apps, infrastructure and cloud.
• Experience with OCI and cloud security assessments.
• Knowledge of CIS/STIG benchmarks and vendor baselines.
• Mentoring experience and willingness to develop others.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end security engagements from planning to delivery.
• Produce high-quality reports and support peer review.
• Build client relationships and provide practical security advice.
• Lead small to medium projects and coordinate consultants.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to process improvements.
• Support presales by scoping engagements and testing methodology.
• Develop internal tooling and knowledge sharing.
