Job summary

Carrier (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Operations Technician to maintain, service, troubleshoot, repair and clean HVAC equipment across workshop and sites in Malaysia and Asia. It covers air-cooled and water-cooled systems from 10 RT to 600 RT, pumps, air handlers and related components.

The role requires Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering; HVAC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• HVAC servicing, troubleshooting, repair and cleaning of equipment.
• Training or experience in EHS & Risk Assessment an advantage.
• Valid Class 3 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, troubleshooting, repair and clean HVAC equipment in workshop and sites.
• Supervision of subcontractors for hose connection and electrical termination works.
• Testing and commissioning of HVAC equipment across projects.
• Maintain accurate records for service reports and inventory counts.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and ensure PPE compliance.

## Senior Operations TechnicianApply: Onsite: Carrier (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, No 10F-1, 10th Floor, Tower 5 @ PFCC , Jalan Puteri 1/2, Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong, Selangor: Full time: Posted Today: 30220378## **Role Responsibilities:*** · Maintain, service, troubleshooting, repair and clean Carrier owned HVAC equipment and related products in the workshop and various sites throughout Malaysia and across Asia when required. This includes air-cooled and water-cooled systems from 10 RT to 600 RT; various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, spot coolers.* Supervision of subcontractors for hose connection and electrical termination works at project sites.* In charge of testing and commissioning of HVAC equipment for various projects across Singapore.* Able to repair pump end for small and large pumps systems. Knowledge in both electrical and mechanical components.* Standby for emergency call up or breakdown of equipment.* Ensure that all equipment are in good and presentable condition.* Maintain accurate records for delivery orders and service reports.* Maintain proper inventory counts for all equipment and accessories.* Use power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment.* Identify the spare parts required, requesting and receiving of spares.* Ensure accuracy of fleet inventory within warehouse* Communicate in a professional manner with co-employees, subcontractors, and customers.* Perform other duties as needed, including general maintenance, cleaning, lifting, organizing, and general inventory counts.* Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.* Must be able to lift and manipulate objects of up to 20kg occasionally.* Ensure all PPE is worn appropriately as work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions with exposure to outdoor temperature variations, noise, vibrations, gas or fumes, grease, cleaning solvents, degreasing agents, machinery and its moving parts, odors, and dust particles.## **Minimum Requirements:*** Nitec, Diploma or Equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering Considered* HVAC technical certification or HVAC associate degree preferred.* Proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repair and cleaning HVAC equipment and related products.* SIC for Construction, Shipyard, Process Plant an advantage.* Training or experience in EHS & Risk Assessment an advantage.* Possess a valid class 3 driver’s license****Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
