Job summary

Aurecon invites an experienced Resident Engineer (Civil & Structural) to lead on-site delivery of industrial and institutional projects in Malaysia. You will ensure works comply with design intent, quality standards, and program requirements.

The role requires 15+ years in earthworks and infrastructure consultancy, registration with BEM, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. You will coordinate design reviews, supervise construction, issue NCRs, and support timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia).
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or GeoScience.
• 15+ years of experience in earthworks, infrastructure development and consultancy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Competency in English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site delivery to ensure safe, on-schedule, and quality outcomes.
• Coordinate supervision of construction activities.
• Collaborate with the Clerk of Works and design teams.
• Review and coordinate all project designs and monitor changes.
• Direct daily progress reporting and assess resource adequacy.
• Lead weekly contractor reviews to ensure coordination and timely delivery.
• Monitor performance against targets and ensure documentation is updated.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, materials, and monthly reports.
• Provide defect lists and oversee NCRs and remedial actions.
