Job summary

UOB Asset Management Ltd seeks a diligent fund accounting professional in Malaysia to handle unit trust and wholesale funds’ financial reporting and year-end processes.

You will prepare and review working papers, liaise with auditors, compute tax estimates and distribution calculations in line with the Funds Prospectus, respond to stakeholder inquiries, and assist in fund closures and maturities as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and validate working papers and financial statements for Unit Trust and Wholesale Funds.
• Liaise with fund auditors on the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit confirmations and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and check income distribution calculations and proposals in accordance with the Funds Prospectus
• Respond to queries relating to income distributions from internal and external stakeholders;
• Prepare, calculate and review tax vouchers for fund income distributions;
• Compute initial and revised tax estimates for Funds for submission to IRB;
• Review fee accruals and calculate actual tax expenses at each Fund's financial year-end;
• Assist in fund closure, termination, and maturity exercises;
• Perform any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Lead
