Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business studies/technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experiences (must have financial reporting knowledge).
• Experience in accounting, finance, or business-related area.
• Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of business activity financial statements, distribution calculations and tax returns.
• Preparation of financial statements, APRA and ABS regulatory reporting.
• Reconciliation of accounting to taxable income.
• Perform other daily and monthly activities as required adhering strictly to established procedures, controls and checklist.
• Review & resolve aging break items and breaks over a certain dollar threshold.
• Review and update procedures & controls.
• Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods.
• Drive and contribute towards process improvement.
• Provide solutions to mitigate errors and to ensure adherence to audit and control policies.
• Support Manager in monthly team planning, coordination and resourcing.
• Assist the team manager in audit queries, client queries, and risk related items.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made.

Your role as a Tax & Financial Reporting Supervisor will be to prepare and review tax, financial and other regulatory reporting for our superannuation fund and managed investment trust clients. Core to this role is ensuring high quality, accurate and timely reporting with an exceptional level of attention to detail. This will involve an ability to analyze and resolve operational issues.

Your challenge will be to support continuous process improvement and collaborate with internal stakeholders on technology developments to meet business and client expectations.
