Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation is seeking an early-career engineer to drive NPI activities from concept through mass production in semiconductor assembly processes. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, evaluate process risks, and document results with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Candidates should have a mechanical/electrical/materials engineering background and be ready to learn diverse production methods while contributing to project milestones and deliverables for REL-AED and

Job Description

NPI drives product development from concept to mass production through process optimization, risk management, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up and develop new products in DACA, DAF DA, & Vacuum Reflow ensuring smooth transfer to mass production (MP).
2. Conduct process development risk assessment, evaluation planning (CZ/DOE),
3. Establish optimal process conditions through evaluation, apply SPC for stable operations & documentation.
4. Track, analyse and compile all sample build data in reports as requested by designers/customers
5. Prepare & report on deliverables to REL-AED.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related)
• Added advantages if have experience in:
  • Semiconductor / assembly / manufacturing / process engineering
  • OR fresh graduate with relevant internship/project exposure (optional flexibility)
• Basic understanding of:
  • Manufacturing processes (e.g., Dicing, DA, WB, molding, or similar)
  • Process flow & defect mechanisms
• Familiar with:
  • SPC / data analysis fundamentals
  • Basic DOE concept (not necessarily expert level)
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills
  • Ability to analyse production/sample build data & Identify trends and potential issues.
• Communication & Coordination
  • Able to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams (QA, OPS, R&D) & Prepare basic technical reports and summaries.
• Working Attitude
  • Detail-oriented with structured approach & willing to learn and handle multiple tasks in NPI environment
