Job summary

Tune Protect Group Berhad is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer to manage a hybrid environment across on‑premises and cloud platforms. The role focuses on reliability, security, and performance of servers, virtualization, networking, and platform services.

You will lead incidents, participate in disaster recovery testing, and drive improvements across ITSM, CMDB, and automation initiatives. Strong collaboration with application and security teams is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure across on-premises, virtualization, cloud, networking, security, backup, and monitoring.
• Strong hands-on with Windows, Linux, Active Directory, VMware, Nutanix, cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
• Experience in networking security: VPN, firewall, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, wireless.
• Experience with ITSM/CMDB and ITIL-aligned processes.

Responsibilities

Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer manages and improves the organisation’s hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring secure, reliable and high-performing services. The role oversees servers, virtualisation, networking, Kubernetes, backup, monitoring and IT service platforms, while supporting incident resolution, disaster recovery, infrastructure modernisation and compliance initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, performance, scalability, and security of critical infrastructure services through the application of Infrastructure Reliability Engineering (IRE) principles and best practices.
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring compliance with operational, security, and regulatory standards.
• Manage and support virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure platforms including VMware vSphere/vCenter, Nutanix AHV, Nutanix Prism Central, and Huawei HCI.
• Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure and services across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Huawei Cloud, and other cloud platforms as required.
• Administer and support Kubernetes environments, including cluster operations, platform upgrades, performance optimization, and workload availability.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and capacity using enterprise monitoring and observability platforms such as Zabbix, ManageEngine, Dynatrace, and related monitoring technologies.
• Perform proactive infrastructure capacity planning, forecasting, performance tuning, and lifecycle management to support business growth and future technology demands.
• Lead the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex infrastructure, cloud, network, virtualization, storage, backup, and security-related incidents.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and continuous service improvement initiatives to minimize recurring incidents and enhance operational resilience.
• Administer enterprise backup (Cohesity), recovery, and data protection platforms, ensuring backup compliance, recoverability, and cyber resilience readiness.
• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient infrastructure solutions that support business continuity objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and document disaster recovery exercises, failover testing, recovery validation, and business continuity activities.
• Hands‑on experience administering, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network and security technologies, including but not limited to Huawei switches and routers, Aruba networking solutions, load balancers, Imperva platforms, firewalls, and Fortinet FortiGate security appliances.
• Hands‑on experience supporting enterprise networking infrastructure, including but not limited to LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, wireless networks, internet connectivity, load balancing, and network security services.
• Hands‑on experience collaborating with telecommunications providers, cloud service providers, technology partners, and vendors to support infrastructure delivery, incident resolution, service improvements, and operational stability, including but not limited to network, cloud, security, and connectivity services.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls, hardening standards, vulnerability remediation programs, certificate management processes, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Support VAPT security operations and compliance requirements, identity and access management (IAM), vulnerability management, audit remediation, and regulatory reviews.
• Administer and maintain IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) platforms, ensuring accurate asset inventories, configuration records, service dependencies, and infrastructure documentation.
• Support and promote ITIL-aligned processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, Request Fulfilment, and Configuration Management.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance operational procedures, technical standards, automation initiatives, and infrastructure governance practices to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Prepare and maintain infrastructure architecture diagrams, network diagrams, technical documentation, operational runbooks, implementation plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Work closely with application, cloud, network, security, and business teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, technology refresh, platform migration, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that strengthen reliability, security, scalability, operational efficiency, and user experience.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to infrastructure engineers, operational teams, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in after-hours support and weekend support, planned maintenance activities, and major incident response when required.
• Undertake any other infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, monitoring, ITSM, CMDB, backup, disaster recovery, and operational responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business and technology requirements.

Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant industry experience

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, operations, and support within medium to large-scale environments.
• Proven experience managing and supporting hybrid infrastructure across on-premises, virtualization, cloud, networking, security, backup, and monitoring platforms.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows, Linux, Active Directory, VMware, Nutanix, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise networking and security infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, LAN/WAN, and wireless technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring, observability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Experience administering ITSM and CMDB platforms and operating within ITIL-aligned processes.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, system hardening, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous service improvement.
• Experience working with vendors, telecommunications providers, cloud service providers, and technology partners.
• Experience within the Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, or other regulated industries will be an added advantage.
