Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Limited is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, implementation, and operation of our global data center network. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions, optimize performance and reliability, and drive security controls and incident response.

The role requires hands-on experience with enterprise networks, SDN technologies, and tools like Zabbix, Grafana and ELK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, implementation and operations.
• Experience in enterprise/data center network environments preferred.
• Experience in global enterprise or large-scale environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps in network architecture and operations and drive improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues including root cause analysis and incident management.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Design, implement, and maintain data center and workplace networks.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize reliability.
• Develop automation scripts and configuration templates.
• Support capacity planning and lifecycle management; Day 0 to Day 2 operations.
• Ensure security controls and safe transmission of data.

If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter.**Key Responsibilities*** Identify gaps and deficiencies in the current network architecture and operations, propose improvement plans, and drive implementation* Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including RCA (Root Cause Analysis), performance tuning, and incident management* Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems (configuration, maintenance, and security hardening)* Design, implement, and maintain data center and workplace network environments* Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and SPOF, and continuously optimize network quality and reliability* Establish and maintain network operation standards, documentation, and operational processes* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery and adherence to IT governance standards* Develop and maintain automation scripts, configuration templates, and backup strategies* Manage network monitoring, alerting, and reporting using tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and ELK* Support capacity planning, scalability, and lifecycle management (Day 0, Day 1, Day 2 operations)* Ensure network security compliance and safe transmission of internal data**Qualifications & Experience*** Minimum **5 years of experience** in network engineering, implementation, and operations* Strong hands-on experience in enterprise and/or data center network environments* Experience in global enterprise, large-scale environments, or consulting firms (e.g., Big4) is an advantage* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and deliver end-to-end solutions* Experience in network design, planning, and project implementation is preferred**Technical Skills****Network & Protocols*** Strong knowledge of IP routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, MPLS VPN)* Experience with SD-WAN technologies (e.g., Velo SD-WAN)* Solid understanding of LAN/WAN architectures**Devices & Platforms*** Hands-on experience with Cisco, H3C, Aruba, and other mainstream vendors* Familiar with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions**Security*** Experience with Fortinet firewalls, WAF, NAC (ISE/FAC), and network security controls* Understanding of network security best practices and monitoring**Tools & Automation*** Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK)* Familiar with IPAM, configuration backup, and automation/orchestration tools**Certifications (Preferred)*** CCNA / CCNP or equivalent practical experienceDayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
